As in the first edition of this book, my purpose is to present to the designer a comprehensive review of digital techniques in modern frequency synthesis design. The text specifically addresses practical designers, and an attempt has been made to approach thesubject heuristically, by using intuitive explanations and including many design examples. Not long ago, frequency synthesis was considered a novelty. It was used in the more complex and demanding applications.
